Les Diablerets has the dual aspect of being a charming Vaud village and a thriving holiday resort. In the winter, you will enjoy the pleasures of mountain snow: particularly, alpine skiing and snowboarding. Snowboarders and skiers hasten from all over the world to enjoy the three skiable areas, which together make up a total of 125 kilometers of pistes and two snowparks extending up to 3000m. There is also a network of cross-country trails (30km classical and 15km skating), part of which has late night lighting. In addition, you can go for snow-shoe walks, or try sledging on the 7.2km long toboggan run by day or night, or opt for ice-skating or curling, or many other games or sporting activities… A large number of events are programmed, such as prize giving and a whole series of facilities specially designed for children that highlight the special efforts made to accomodate the little ones (Label “Families Welcome”). Last but not least, the glacier restaurant designed by leading architect Mario Botta in the “Glacier 3000” ski area offers an exceptional panorama with breathtaking views over the Lake Geneva region.
